Laban is clearly as passionate for the real thing as she is for the virtual flying experience. She owns and flies a Cubcrafter’s X-Cub, and as it happens, one of our Plane & Pilot Photos Of The Week earlier this year featured a shot by Laban of New York City from her X-Cub. Laban, a tall, self-possessed woman with blonde hair and an air of elegance you’d more expect to see in the fashion world, is herself a pilot. After you try it, she says, you’ll see why. Fire it up and play.Īs an update to our earlier coverage of the app, we reached out to Infinite Flight’s co-founder and chief developer Laura Laban, with whom we met at the last live Oshkosh. Another app, Infinite Flight, which you might not have heard of, has attracted a huge following over the years and has numerous features the others lack, including a scenery streaming data approach that saves users from downloading scenery. There is no mobile app from Microsoft for Flight Sim, and there’s not likely to be one any time soon, but luckily for those of us who want a mobile sim experience, there are some alternatives, including a good mobile app from X-Plane. ![]() With the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator earlier this year, the flight gaming/home sim community is energized in a way it hasn’t been since early days.
